Gibson Girl by *Tsuchan Is a stunning and beautiful example of gesture with the fine traditional media of Watercolor. Tsuchan has a marvelously fun, loose style, and incorporates personality into the strokes they make, creating a most interesting and vivid characters.

Description

The "Gibson Girl" set what some argue as the first national standard for a feminine beauty ideal.
The Gibson Girl was tall, slender yet with ample bosom, hips and bottom in the S-curve torso shape achieved by wearing a swan-bill corset. The images of her epitomized the late nineteenth and early 20th-century Western preoccupation with statuesque, youthful features, and ephemeral beauty. Her neck was thin and her hair piled high upon her head in the contemporary bouffant, pompadour, and chignon ("waterfall of curls") fashions.

Based off some 1900's illustrations from fashion magazines. I was yet again inspired by the always beautiful 1900's illustrations I've seen and the beautiful dresses and hats, and the Gibson Girl ideal.. well, except this is a cat.
Also, as it is Primrose, her tail should be curly.. but I drew it huge and wave because it looked better with the dress.
Aah! I'm being untrue to my own character design. Primrose was named after a verse in a song.
Done in watercolor.
