The Entertainer by *Tsuchan is such a charming and vibrant piece with an adorable pair of characters. The equal attention to background makes it that much more lovely!

Inspiration
Ragtime music is one of those things a person can't listen to and not start tapping their foot or smiling. The sound is so exuberant, happy, complex and timeless. The Entertainer by Scott Joplin was specifically inspirational, and is probably THE most popular piece of Ragtime ever written.
The focus was to create a piece where the characters weren't stagnant or posing, but moving while portraying "Ragtime".
Technical
There are some technical mistakes here and I'm still trying to reconcile my more "realistic" and impressionist style of drawing plants with the simplicity of cartoons. The fence and Penny's foot (I think) don't exactly mesh as much as I'd like. I'm not sure if adding lines to the fence would help.
Time
About 15 hours of work, give or take. I had a very specific vision on this piece.
