Here ya go, a tutorial for PS Elements! I've never seen one, so I made a simple one. This is generally the way I do it because I can't separate the lineart from the white background like you can do in full PS.
I also have a newer PS Tutorial: [link] There are a few changes and it doesn't go into coloring itself like this one, but focuses more on some of the features and ways of preparing your lineart for coloring.
OOH thank you for this!! I have elements and was majorly confused because it seems to be very... lacking... I'll have to try the lineart thing out. Thanks.

omg thanks so much! FINALLY a PS elements tutorial! ^__^ *favs* This has helped me figure out how to use those pesky layers that normal PS users seem to have such an easy time on. -_-
Oh, and question: Did you ink the picture by hand or on photoshop? (Cuz inking on elements is the only thing I /can't/ figure out. lol)
I ink almost everything using a pen (by hand) because my lines look terrible if I draw them with a tablet. If you want to ink using the pen tool (the tool that many people use on PS to get perfect lines) you can't because elements doesn't have that tool at all.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

There are other better ways to do it on normal photoshop, but this was the only way I've found for PS Elements.
